Dutch based Point of View will release several products based of the GeForce GTX 285. These different SKUs are primarily based off of the reference product in combo with different game bundles. For example, one will have Prince of Persia. They however submitted an EXO (Extreme Overclocked) version of the board, which apparently comes with Far Cry 2, one of the more exciting titles released by Ubisoft two months ago. Great title, great value.

The card is reference based, yet is tested and is at default overclocked for you, much like these other rascals we've just shown you.

  • Core clock: reference 648 MHz | EXO = 700 MHz
  • Shader clock: reference 1476 | EXO = 1584 MHz
  • Memory clock: reference 1242 | EXO = 1269 MHz

Fact is the EXO has a fairly nice overclock which will bring in an additional 5 to 10% performance, and seems to be getting awfully close to the eVGA SSC when we look at the specification. Me likey that a lot.

As mentioned Point of View will get you a pretty nice product bundle all the basics included. Subtleties like a HDMI adapter and SPDIF cable are included. The regular GTX 285 (349 EUR) can be purchased with a Price of Persia game bundle. The Exo edition however is bundled with Far Cry 2 and will cost only a tenner more at 359 EUR, and thus comes very much recommended, well if you are into hardcore gaming that is :)

Also some nice additional value definitely is the three year warranty. Let's have a look at the product with the help of some a stylish photo-shoot.
